Although he has made a name for himself as a storyteller for hundreds of companies, non- and not-for-profits and entrepreneurs, it was becoming obvious to Henry Mortimer that his website wasn’t telling his story in a compelling, impactful way.
Mended Digital had the pleasure of reworking Mortimer Communications’ brand as well as the site. The goal was to combine the metaphor of storytelling with a touch of whimsy while keeping an emphasis on professionalism. The new brand was applied to both the site as well as the downloadable e-guide, which we also designed.
Inspired by the websites of other leaders in his field, we decided to move forward with a long-scroll homepage featuring dynamic elements, testimonials and multiple calls to action. The site also features a downloadable e-guide in exchange for newsletter sign-up with reCaptcha security and MailChimp integration. Deeper into the site, users can learn about Henry, an explanation of his process, as well as more testimonials endorsing his skill and benefits of working with Mortimer Communications.
It’s exciting to translate stories to digital “presences,” and we’re very proud of the brand, site and materials we’ve created for Mortimer Communications to express their story online.

I have collaborated with plenty of designers over the years, and what makes Amanda outstanding in my mind is simple: she’s a delight to work with. She has an artist’s flair, a keen eye for detail, an abundance of workable ideas and solutions, and no small amount of patience.
When it came time to rework my company’s website, Amanda needed little background to gain a deep understanding of what I wanted to achieve, and her contributions to the discovery process and her final design options were exactly what I needed. The hardest part was deciding which design option to choose, they were all so good!
Maybe most important for me, as a small business, she finished the project within budget and on time. She’s also dedicated, considerate, honest, highly organized, and flexible, and she has a great sense of humor — an underrated but invaluable trait in today’s business world. I look forward to working with her again.
